Emergency Snow Routes

The City reminds residents of the Emergency Snow Routes that will go into effect when winter weather conditions warrant.The Emergency Snow Routes were established to benefit and protect the public. Your cooperation is essential in keeping our streets open during these times.

Platte City ordinances prohibit parking between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes when ice or one or more inches of snow has accumulated. Cars may be parked on Main Street except between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes are as follows:

Main Street, Fourth Street, Vine Street east of Fourth Street, Paxton Street from First Street to Second Street, Wallingford Drive, O'Rourke Drive, Spring Street, Mill Street, Academy Street, Maple Drive from Fourth Street to Wells Road, Wells Road from Maple Drive to Hale Avenue, Hale Avenue north of Wells Road, Bello Mondo Drive, Marshall Road and Second Street from Main Street to Academy Street
